My friend (SueEllen)—(that’s an alias) has yet again returned to the inner Steppes of Mongolia to participate in her second Mongolian Derby…..

…..Talk About A Wild Ride…..

She competed in the Derby…two or three years ago…(Mongol Derby #1)…..

It was May of 2019…..

This year they ran two Derbies…I guess the entirety of Mongolia shut down during the Covid-19 Pandemic…..

They just finished their third day…..

There’s a long way yet to go…..

You can follow individual riders live…you can actually watch their “dots” moving on the map…..

The time in Mongolia is twelve hours ahead of us here in the United States on Eastern Standard Time…..

They ride from 7:00am…to…7:00pm…no pony is ridden twice…..

Watching the candid videos is really entertaining…..

…..seeing the rider-less mounts disappearing over the distant horizons…..

SueEllen rides as a Whipper-In in our Fox Hunt…she’s a fabulous rider…..

After finishing her first Derby…she was eager to go back…and do it again…..

I don’t think I could put up with a diet of mutton stew (too much of that in my childhood)…..

…..HA!…Who Am I Kidding…Like I Could Even Dream Of Keeping Up With Them!…HA!…..
