I’m exhausted…..

…..tryptophan…it can really put a kink in post-feast clean-up…..

*****(Thanksgiving Dinner Makes You Sleepy)*****

All I wanted to do after eating…was curl-up with the dirty dishes  &  left-overs and…..

………….snoooooooze………….

Just wrap me in some aluminum foil and plastic wrap alongside the green bean casserole and the turkey carcass and let me nap…..

…..stick a holiday-themed/paper napkin underneath my drools  &  snores…ignore the sweet potato skin that’s stuck to my forehead…..

There are perks to being an old crank…I just don’t care anymore about social mores…..

…..I don’t have to hold in my stomach…I don’t feel inclined to limit the amount of whipped cream I put on my pie slice(s)…and…my newest Patrice covers all the rolls…..

I mean…overalls should be a mandatory uniform for the Holidays…..

…..Patrice literally has a “bib” attached to her front…there’s NO waistline…..

She’s always perfect for a big feast…..

…..a well-chosen/less-stained pair of overalls…is perfectly party-worthy…and…there’s no binding or pinching waistline…plus…they’re comfy for napping…..

…..(except for the overly-filled/weird-stuff in my lumpy pockets)…..

This last Thanksgiving was fun…and…relaxing…..

During the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade…the Radio City Rockette’s were suitably well-choreographed…..

…..multiple decades ago…I used to looked like them………….(ha!)…..

…..(well…maybe…six inches shorter)…(and twenty (+++) pounds heavier)…..

…..(there’s a cost to whipped cream over-indulgement)…..

…..(and…I’ve decided)…..

…..(it’s worth it)…..

So kick your skinny legs ladies…..!!!…..

I’m too busy main-lining pumpkin pie and whipped cream…..

We opted not to do the jigsaw puzzle…(too much concentration was required)…..

…..we played Jenga instead….

…..well…an abbreviated version…..

…..because the Irish Wolfhounds had gnawed on a number of the wooden pieces (and/or eaten them)…..

….(sigh)…..

Now…’tis the Season to bring on all of the traditional Christmas movies…and the perfume commercials with those beautifully-perfect (and good-smelling) models…and the never-ending toy promo’s…along with those tear-jerking supermarket advertisements that leave you suitably verklempt and missing loved ones…..

…..we’re ready!…..

HA!…..

…..Bring It On…..

………….well…maybe after another nap………….
