I………….Mis-Measured…

I swear I carefully measured Anja for her fly sheet…..

I swear I did…..

…..in fact…..I measured twice (maybe three times)…..

………….THEN HOW DID I DO THIS!?!………….

Norwegian Fjord horses are not your typical horse…..(or pony)…..

…..plus they are considered “draft horses” (i.e. plus-sized/tubby-guts)…..

But how did I go so far wrong!…..?…..

For a properly fitting blanket or sheet…..you measure from the middle of the chest…..to the middle of the tail…..around the mid-shoulder-area…..

My Younger Daughter and I re-measured (again)…..

Came up with the same measurements (again)…..

And then I did what seemed like the best/next step…..

…..I guessed…..

…..I should have done that to begin with…..

I’m so glad I have other/bigger/large-butted horses…..

…..that way…..Anja’s “first” fly sheet won’t go to waste…..

In addition…..my younger daughter is now putting Anja in the barn through the heat of the day…..to keep her cooler…..

…..we have an empty stall…..FINALLY!…..

…..(now that the appropriate piggies have all gone to market)…..

Originally we tried an abbreviated fly sheet…..just to cover Anja’s belly…..

It didn’t work…..

She would have NONE of it!…..

…..once we figured out how to get it on…..

…..she took it off within twenty minutes…..stomped on it…..

…..tore it up…..

…..and walked away…..dragging it behind her like toilet paper stuck to her pants…..

………….I get NO respect here…..NO respect whatsoever………….
