The internet mysteriously came back on…Yippee…..

Originally…”they” said there were no internet problems in our area that could have caused our personal outage…and it was probably a problem inside our house with our equipment(?)…..

And then…”they” said “they” fixed the problem in our area…(?)…was that the problem that did or didn’t exist before(?)…..

…..(plus they unceremoniously cancelled their technician’s home visit appointment)…..

Are any of you out there old enough to remember “Ma Bell” with Bell Telephone service?…..

I guess that old saying still applies………….”you can’t fight the phone company”…..

One down…and how many more broken things to fix?…..

The sizzling/smoking water heater…and a sizzling truck battery…then there’s the crapped out tractor…the now fixed refrigerator…the repaired vacuum…and the snaked & unclogged drains…the necessary replacement washer and dryer and stove…..(?)…..

Ah………….the joys of home ownership…..

But…I don’t think the water heater tank is supposed to sizzle…..

And I’m pretty sure the black soot by one of the screwed on panels shouldn’t be there……

…..or the fact that it’s hanging by one remaining screw…(it kind of looks like it blew off)…..

All of these things have recently occurred…..

Needless to say…the appropriate fuse for the water heater was hastily turned off…..

My older daughter and I are wondering…why didn’t it flip on its own(?)…..

…..and do we now have to take cold showers for the rest of our lives(?)…..

I’ve been boiling water in the big canning pots for warm baths…..

…..but this series of mod-con blow-outs is getting ridiculous…..

Upon closer examination…the crapped out water heater was manufactured in 2004…(that’s a little while ago)…..

Plus…my older daughter just told me that water heaters are supposed to be flushed annually…(what?)…..

…..(I guess that’s what the spigot on the side is for?)…..

…..(who knew?)…..

I think there’s a fair bet that this burned out puppy has never been flushed out once in it’s rusty/calcified existence…..

…..and then it exploded…..

So………….What’s Next!?!…..

…..Take a Number…..
