Willow’s puppies have arrived…..

…..five girls…..and no boys…..

I think that’s the first time that has ever happened that I can remember…..(all of the puppies being one gender)…..

Willow started whelping with Puppy #1 at about 5:00pm on Sunday, December 19th…..

…..then Puppy #2 came at 9:00pm…..

…..and then…..

…..we waited…..and we waited…..and we waited…..and we waited…..

Willow panted some…..but mostly slept…..

…..we stared at each other…..a lot…..

…..then she would nap some more…..

…..I didn’t…..

…..I stared at her while she slept…..

*************WHAT IS IT WITH IRISH WOLFHOUNDS AND BIRTHING!!!???!!!*************

*************THEY ARE THE WORST!!!*************

As soon as Doctor Russell’s office opened in the morning…..I was on the phone…..

…..and Willow and I were quickly motoring our way to the good doctor’s office…..(along with her two whelps)…..

…..Doctor Russell easily deemed the situation…..as A-Typical Uterine Inertia…..

…..and the necessary emergency cesarean-section ensued…..

…..WELL…..INERTIA THIS…..WILLOW!!!…..

*************WHAT IS IT WITH IRISH WOLFHOUNDS???*************

…..(They nap comfortably…..while I hurl up angst & bile)…..

…..AAAUUUGGGHHH!!!….

The remainder of the puppies were delivered…..a total of five little girls…..

…..afterwards…..I was succinctly patched off home along with Willow and her newly born daughters…..

………….and then the fun begins………….
