*The Glitter Computer*

*******Please Subscribe To My Blog…..It Really Helps*******

This could probably qualify as a fluff piece blog post…..

But I had to do it anyway…..

After my recent post about the confessions of a Super-Glue addict…(and how I “slightly” glued some of my keyboard keys together)…(and the lid)—(but just a little bit)…..

…..my older daughter reminded me…of her first laptop computer…and her first laptop repair…..

Where my generation got Etch-A-Sketch’s…my daughters’ generation got…laptops…..

It’s a necessary way of the world…..

The kids learn about computers quickly…they have to…..

I’m just feeling like I’ve finally mastered how to Cut & Paste…..

But when my daughter reminded me of her first computer mishap…it all came back so quickly & clearly…..

What I do clearly remember is the judgy surprised looks from the Geek Squad at Best Buy…..

…..(I mean…they are there for repairs…do they have to rate and grade your misuses…right in front of you?)…..

…..I remember there was just so much tsk’ing from all of them…leveled at me…..

Who knew that there was a sucking-fan inside a laptop?…I sure didn’t…..

Apparently there is…and it sucked in A LOT of glitter…(mostly pink)…..

Now in our defense…young kids have crafts that you do with them at the kitchen table…or wherever…..

…..crayons…finger paints…glitter…and glue…(but not Super Glue—kid’s use the pasty-stuff that you can eat)…..

Regardless…the Geek Squad still lectured us…pointing out that sucking fans and glitter-projects don’t mix well…..

…..The Geek Squad was very clear about that…..

I felt like they were well & truly slapping me on my knuckles for my errant willy-nilly (where the hell did that word originate?) mishandling of a glitter jar…..

*****(The Origins of Willy-Nilly)—(just because you asked)*****

What parent doesn’t subscribe to the elaborative & bounteous misuse of glitter(?)…..

…..It’s GLITTER!…..and It’s SPARKLY!…..

But the Geek Squad was quite adamant about my clear and wantonly-lascivious misuse…..

It’s obvious that they believe glitter-crafts are a slippery slope for children…who would certainly end up overly-dressed in inappropriate sequins…..

I remember nodding in remission…(and silently discounting them totally)…..

…..because we had more unfinished crafts and glitter-projects to finish at home on the kitchen table…..

…..and paste to eat…..
