I love this Holiday…..

…..it’s an excuse to eat candy…but really…who needs an excuse to eat those bite-sized wonders?…..

…..or an excuse to dress strangely…(my older daughter looked in my closet and said my wardrobe was still dated from the ’60’s and ’70’s)…..

…..Don’t Touch My Fringe and Embroidered Denim or my Tie-Dye!…..

And Doc Martens are time-less….

…..(a costume to some…can be someone else’s comfy clothes)…..

But I do love Halloween…..

I get my favorite Trick or Treater’s handouts…and I sit back and eat them all…..

…..because Trick or Treaters never come out this far…it’s too far to walk…plus honestly…it’s super scary at night…..

But we call it home…..

The full Hunter’s Moon just occurred on Saturday…so the full moon’s light will mostly be bright…..

…..maybe my younger daughter and I will just sit in the front yard and get sick on too much candy…..

…..that could be fun…..

Oooh!…a bonfire!…even better…..

My older daughter’s going to Ybor City for their Halloween festivities and rompings…..

…..it’s good place on Halloween…..

But Ybor celebrates Halloween 24/7…so there really won’t be much of a difference…..

…..(fyi—after sunset…Ybor is always a good place to go in a group…because some real oddities come out after dark down there…or at any time of the year)…..

For me…I’ll happily share the candy with my younger daughter and Patrice (who doesn’t eat very much anyway)…..

…..we’ll be roasty and toasty…in our Adirondack chairs…by the smoky bonfire…..

……just us…and the coyotes…and the swamp rats…et al…..

Really it’s just another day (or night) at the oasis for us…..
