Technologically Frustrated

Technologically Frustrated

I’ve been left in the dust.

I was happily behind the times technologically speaking.

I like my flip phone.  It was lovingly chewed on by the Wolfhounds.

My flip phone reminds me of the communicator everybody had on the Enterprise on Star Trek (the TV original—when Captain Kirk was slim).

I can hear the static, and Jim’s transmission to the ship…………..”Beam me up, Scotty.”

My little flip phone even has the same clipped sound as it snaps shut………just like the Enterprise’s communicators……………..it makes me feel cool & with it.

And it doesn’t have to be smart.

It just has to call people when I want.

Computers are in the same category as far as I am concerned.

I like e-mails.

I don’t have to text.

I don’t need to Face, or Tweet, or Blurp.

I do like the fast research capabilities…………………..I’ll give computer technology that much…………….it’s quicker than flipping through the Encyclopedia Britannica.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This blog-thing I’m doing……………….it’s like expelling hot air.
It’s good for me.
It’s cathartic.
It helps stop me from running with scissors…………
But I’m getting frustrated with trying to get my photos, from my little fuchsia Canon onto my posts.
I’m having to rely on public domain photos all the time.
I’ve got really good photos on that stupid chip-thing in my pink camera. (I broke the red one and lost the gray one———so I’m stuck with the pink one———–).
(Surprise!  I’m not a pink-loving person).
Whatever happened to rolls of film?  I knew how to deal with them.
Negatives have gone the way of the Dodo.
I loved those little, plastic film cases……………..
Whatever happened to them!?!           You know, the traditional black ones with gray tops or the cloudy/transparent ones.
See, modern progression has its pitfalls………………no empty film cases to use for whatnots, and assorted clutter, and old/saved gum.
But back to trying to post MY photos on MY blog….
I can’t…
They are in my pink camera, tucked in the dark recesses of Patrice’s snapped bibs.
……………………
Patrice’s bib pockets were apparently too gritty for the red camera to survive………poor frail thing.
I am now YouTubing to find out how to repair the “Lens Error” which keeps coming up…
I want to get My photos onto My blog posts.        I really do.
But there’s a maze of cords that have to be organized/attached/plugged in/chip-energized…………or some-such-silliness in order to get the photos out of the camera and into the computer……………………..but I’m sure, you already know, that’s not the end of it…………………….
…………….not by a long shot…
Then the downloaded photos (if you’re lucky) have to become icons or front-page-ornaments before they can be highlighted/clicked & dragged (a feat in itself) and/or somehow travel to the WordPress apparatus.
And then into its media library………
……..to become a media file waiting to be added to a post……
………….And you bet’cha………………………..I’m bad at that………….
Why Isn’t This Authentic Qwerty?
It appears that my only forte in this entire computerized-journaling-cathartic-thing is that I know Qwerty.
My Gregg shorthand is of no use whatsoever………….did you hear that Mom………….no use whatsoever!………….!             (I hated steno).
I want to win this cyber-Kodachrome-war…………
……….and I will.
