I “had” hoped that Addy’s baby would come on June’s full “Strawberry” moon… …..often a full moon can trigger these things… …..but, Nooooooooooooooo….. …..other things DID happen… *****Sooooooooooooooo***** …..Addy decided to colic……. …..sigh….. …..she went off her feed…..she went off her hay…..she stopped pooping….. AAAUUUUUUUGGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!! (Time out for banging my head against the wall!) …..there was some good news……. …..and there was bad news……. The bad news…….was (obviously) that Addy colicked……. …..that’s super bad, especially for an end-stage pregnant mare……….

Yesterday, Addy had blood pulled for her sixth—VI—6th time since March for yet another bloodwork panel. I had the vet out…….(the week-end vet, not Stevie Wonder). It was because Addy stopped eating…….and she’s always been a shining member of the clean-plate-club… My heart hit my heels and my stomach stopped in my throat… I have every reason to take paranoia to the extreme… ~~~~~~~~~~~~~Time out for keening, self-hugging and rocking~~~~~~~~~~~~~   Her temperature was all right.  But she just didn’t…
