It’s that time of year when another anniversary approaches…..

…..maybe it’s the angle of the sun…..or just the calendar getting ready to flip to “that month”…..

But April will never be the same for me…..four years ago it was permanently life-altering…..

One can only move forward as positively and constructively as possible…..

And to that effect…..

…..our stupid surveillance system needs dusting off and a desperate tune-up…..

The original person who installed the system has been impossible to get ahold of…..he doesn’t show up or return calls…..not to mention being a misogynist.

…..in the meantime…..one camera after another has crapped out…..

…..one dramatically was smashed to smithereens…..along with our mailbox…..by a weaving/drunk neighbor and his pickup truck…..

I prefer being preventative and proactive…..BUT…..I don’t know electronics (at all)…..

However…..my older daughter and Grey…..they get that stuff…..!…..

…..(Thank God)…..

Just like when they stepped in and fixed the front windows…..

…..they found A LOT of things that were done incorrectly with the cameras the first time…..

…..wrong plugs (unshielded/Cat-6 plugs)…..(?)…..way too many/inconsistent splitters going nowhere & everywhere…..(?)…..no power to the fan box…..EVERY wire was UNLABELED…..(both in the house’s box as well as at the barn-box)…..(?)…..(?)…..(?)…..

…..the list goes on and on and on…..

What was the point of investing more than a five-figure/price-tag…..only to end up with nothing working…..?…..

We need to have surveillance on this farm…..we already have some great equipment…..

…..it looks like we’ve finally found someone who actually knows what he’s doing and wants to invest the time & effort to fix it…..

…..Phew!…..

Maybe I’ll soon be able to sleep easier and give my stomach lining a break…..
