We are almost at the end of the month…..

It’s been busy…..

…..so busy…..

Hurricane Zeta…..(yes, Zeta) has just hit and swirled over the poor Bayou State…..

…..this has been one helluva hurricane season for the shell-shocked residence of Louisiana…..

…..it’s the fifth…..!!!!!…..(yes, the fifth) hurricane to hit that low/soggy Cajun State…..

We were lucky here…..

…..we were just around the corner from them on the Gulf of Mexico…..

I’m hoping this is it for this year’s season…..but who knows!?!

Throughout the month we’ve continued working with Brave…..gentling and training him…..

…..the big doofus is coming along nicely…..

We are also waiting for Princess Sparkles’ horns to fall off…..(they haven’t yet)…..

Our back porch is going through much needed renovations…..(some day…..it will be done)

The three muses (Sabine/Sloane/& Val) have successfully chewed through the water hoses that connect the bidet AND the toilet to the wall in the bathroom where they spend their nights…..

Sigh…..

Lots of flooding…..lots of mopping…..lots of expletives…..@#$%&*%$#@!!!

I’ve started preparing for our Hunt Club’s Halloween Tea…..

I’ll be making pandemic-appropriate/boxed-meals of sliced turkey with Hawaiian rolls and condiments…..

…..and Caesar salad…..

…..along my infamous/lumpy/mashed potatoes (with lots of butter)-(and an over-abundance of heavy cream)-(and calories)-(and carbs)…..

…..and apple pie…..and cookies…..

…..and lots of orange Jello shots…..

…..and my signature/full bar…..

…..and of course…..no actual “tea” will be served…..

…..oooh…..I’ll need a chartreuse tray of cold cuts and cheese…..

Addy has taken this opportunity to decide to get a hoof abscess…..or maybe its soft/sensitive soles…..

…..the weather is finally cooling & drying out…..(just a little)…..

…..I don’t know what’s going on with Addy’s hoofies…..

…..but enough is enough…..I’m going to ride her with three good legs…..

It’s actually the Hunters Moon…..

…..the second full moon will be on All Hallow’s Eve…..

…..spooky and cool, huh?…..

*****FYI:  On this day (in an undisclosed year) a man paddled a 1,364 lbs pumpkin down the River Ouse in Yorkshire, England…..(I just thought you should know.)
