***Just What Is Shark Week?***

It’s this week!…..

…..(it actually started yesterday)…..

Oooooooh!  I’d forgotten to add shark attacks to the list!…..

It’s another thing that Florida has going for it…..

…..along with the fire ants…and the snakes…and iguanas…and alligators…..

The east coast states only have to worry about shark attacks on one side of their state…..

…..the same goes for the west coast and other Gulf states…..

…..but Florida has the distinct distinction of having to worry about shark attacks on three of its four sides…..

…..(not to mention all the way around each & every one of the Keys)…..

BUT…they don’t get reported in excess here………….hmmmmm…..

…..as  Floridians…we really only hear about the ones in California…or the Carolina’s…..

I would assume that the Carolinians only get to hear about the ones in Florida or California…..

…..and probably the same applies for the California beach-mishaps…..

…..you know…..

…..(it’s not good for Tourism…………………shhhhhhh…)…..

***More Shark Stuff***

But…Do They Happen?…..

…..yeppers!…..

When in Florida just don’t go in any water (salt or fresh) unless it’s the bath tub…..

Florida even has the speciality of having several Gulf coast beaches where you can easily find and pick up petrified shark’s teeth…..

…..all sizes can be found…..

…..been there…done that…got the T-shirt…..(we give them to visiting friends for souvenirs)…..

…..(FYI—the beaches are especially productive after storms)…..

I’m positive JAWS 1 through 15 will be on multiple TV channels this week…..

…..did you know that the tiger shark (on the dock)-(with the license plate in its stomach)-(in the first JAWS movie) was caught just down the coast here in Florida…..?…..

…..it was packed in ice and shipped up for the movie…..

…..oooooh!………….and ALL those “Shark-nado” movies!…..

…..(didn’t they even have one in outer space?)…..

…..so…haul out your old/ratty Amity Island Beach T-shirt…pop some popcorn…and get comfy…..
