We’re still plodding along with the marathon-porch-renovation-project…..

I’m hesitant to say…..it might be mostly done…..

The outside’s finally been finished and stucco’d…..

…..(but “they” painted it white when the rest of the exterior of the house is gray?)…..

…..(not too noticeable…..?…..but what do I know?)…..

…..the inside has finally been completed-ish…..

I was told to pick paint colors and paint numbers…..

***Do Blue Ceilings Really Help Keep Away Mosquitoes?***

I really think that was just to pacify me…..

………….(here let the old lady pick out some colors)………….

………….(that’ll keep her busy  &  quiet for awhile)………….

………….(while we do whatever we want)………….

…..HA!…..

…..I just wanted white walls…..(on the inside walls)…..

…..to match the interior window frames…..

…..and I wanted a blue-colored/mosquito-ceiling (it’s a southern-thing)…..

…..(I asked my older daughter how to find a Sherman Williams “mosquito-blue”)…..

…..(she did)…..

Sometimes it’s felt like the porch-project was going backwards…..

…..it’s taken………….years………….and years………….and years…..

I’m tired of the living room being used as a storage unit…..

…..and my horse trailer (apparently) has been turned into a storage shed too…..

…..(unbeknownst to me)…..

…..I just found that out when I tried using the trailer for it’s actual purpose…..

…..(you know………….like hauling horses)…..

Two (2) things still need to be done on the porch…..one I can do…..one I can’t…..

…..we need two more electrical outlets…..

…..(and it’s really for the best that I EVER/NEVER mess with electricity)…..

…..and the floor still needs tiling (like the rest of the house)…..

I’ve already gotten & stored the necessary Saltillo tile…..

I’ve already tiled the rest of the house…..(it took years)…..

…..we got a quote ($$$$$!?!) for someone else to lay the tile…..

…..(who would’ve thought that my tiling-skills were so valuable!?!)…..

…..So…..it looks like I’ll be tiling again…..real soon……

…..(this time I really need to wear gloves)…..(that mortar and grout stuff really hurts after awhile!)…..(maybe I shouldn’t mix the grout with my hands)…..

…..(sigh)…..
