Florida foliage flourishes in the summer…..

…..boy-oh-boy!…..that’s an understatement!…..

I swear…..I only blinked…..

…..and the round pen disappeared into excessively-aggressive-greenery-growth…..

Poof!

…..it was gone…..

It’s somewhere under all of that extreme foliage & flora…..

…..okay…..maybe it was a little bit longer than the blink of an eye…..

…..(I’m still on one crutch thanks to Addy and her contemptible/tricksy/kick of over TWO WEEKS AGO!)…..

…..(damn you Addy………….I didn’t need that!)…..

I had to slow down to a hobbled crawl…..

…..but…..the greenery growth didn’t slow down at all…..

…..that’s for sure…..

Sooooooo…..minus the crutch…..(but occasionally using the pump-sprayer for support)…..

I had to gimp out there and spray with my favorite carcinogenic herbicide…..

That jungle inside the round pen had turned rabid…..

I had entertained the thought of putting Brave in there and letting him trample it down…..

…..but honestly…..I was afraid it might overwhelm him and eat him in one algae-coated gulp…..

So the only other option was a sloshing…..hobbling…..old woman…..hauling carcinogenic chemicals…..

I kept holding up a sweaty finger to make sure I was on the right side of the breeze…..

…..(actually it was just for the excuse to stop and lean on the sprayer)…..

…..the morning glory vines were the worst….

…..they murderously snared my ankles at every opportunity…..(I had to cut myself out of them quite a few times)…..

And let’s not talk about pokeweed trunks the size of my forearm!…..

But it’s done…..now I have to wait a few days to see the after effect of the weed killer…..

Those plants might have just considered it as a tropical cocktail with fruity garnishes and a little umbrella…..
