Invest 96L…became a Tropical Storm…and then Hurricane Ian…..

…..with a proper name…..

………….it’s Ian………….

………….Yay!………….sigh………….

We’re all glued to the updates from the National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration…..

…..(NOAA)…..

…..You gotta get with the jargon:  spaghetti models…cones of influence…projections…(my beloved Wind Shear)—(there’s not enough)…evacuation routes…enhanced satellite imagery…tides…storm surges…long duration event…..

…..sigh………….it can make you crazy (or crazier)…..

…..if we’re in Ian’s path…it looks like it’s projection could hit on Wednesday…or Thursday…who knows!?!…..

…..so many spaghetti-models…..

…..so many…..

This whole process has made me hate pasta…why did they have to ruin a perfectly good food dish with their stupid spaghetti models?…..

Sigh…double sigh…triple sigh…..

It’s all still up in the air…but whoever gets hit with this…it’s gonna hurt…..

…..if not us…it’s going to be somebody…..

…..if not Florida…then Alabama…or Louisiana…..

Like I’ve said before…I worry…I worry about the farm…..

…..and I really really worry about the horses…..

I’ve heard such horrible stories about horses who were in Hurricane Andrew…..

…..(Hurricane Andrew—1992)…(they never even got an accurate read on the maximum winds because the wind-measurement-apparatus blew away—or so I’ve heard)…..

We’ve got food…we’ve got water…we have batteries…we’ve got animal feed…we have medical supplies…..

My older daughter cranked-up our generator to make sure the battery is charged…IT IS…phew…..

She filled-up the fuel tank of the generator as well as her truck and tractor…(my truck’s still at the mechanics)…..

Mother Nature is a force to watch and respect…..

…..cuz there’s nothing else we can do about it…..

…..but I CAN worry…I’m very good at worrying…I’ve got that down pat…..

I know worrying doesn’t help anything…but I’m a control freak…and it’s all I have control of…..

I wish everyone well…whoever ends up in the path of Hurricane Ian…..

I’ll keep watching…..

Maybe add in some hand-wringing for dramatic-flair…..

But that’s about it…..

………….and we wait………….
