How would I ever survive up North now…..?…..I’ve been down here too long…..

I’m a wimp when the weather turns cold…..

There was ICE on my truck’s windshield yesterday…..!…..

………….Real…..ICE!………….

………….Frozen Water………….

………….from the air……!…….

Aunt Cory (from northeastern Ohio)-(thirteen miles from “The Lake”)-(Erie) told me they got over ten inches of snow the other night…..

…..she couldn’t open the back door to let her boxer puppies outside…..

…..and when she finally wedged it open…..the large puppies disappeared under the snow…..

…..(they were so confused)…..

BUT…..let’s get serious and talk about REAL cold…..

…..it dropped down into the THIRTIES HERE!!!…..

I didn’t sign up for this…..!…..

Like I said there was frozen water…..FROM THE SKY…..that was stuck on my truck’s windshield!…..

I know the cold snap is supposed to make the strawberries in the area become sweeter…..

…..right now…..I’d take tart strawberries and a little warmer thermometer reading…..

…..the Plant City Strawberry Festival is just around the corner following the Florida State Fair…..

…..(at least I think they are both going on as planned this year)…..(who knows what with Covid-19 still hanging around)…..

I still have a heating pad under the shredded paper in one corner of the puppies’ cage…..

…..granted they live in the den…..in a thermostatically-controlled and heated house…..

…..(our Irish Wolfhounds are more like exotic hot-house flowers)…..

I’m sleeping with an extra flannel shirt on over my long-flannel jammies…..I’m wearing socks to bed…..

…..I’m not above pulling out my hot water bottle…..

…..and my lips are still chapped…..

But I know if I hang in there a few more days………….

………….our Florida Winter will be over………….
