I’m a worrier…..

…..always have been…..

…..doubt I’ll change any time soon…..

I’m better when I can actively be doing something…..

…..actively involved…..

Anticipating “things” is the WORST…..

Willow did well whelping the last time she had a litter…..

…..she’s as big as a house right now…..

I’ve got everything as organized as I’m ever going to be…..

…………………(?)…………………

…..now it’s a waiting game…..

I’m thinking I’m going to have Willow sleep in my bedroom with me these last few days before delivery…..

That way…..if she starts fussing or pacing…..I’ll know right away…..

She’ll be panting in my face to make sure I wake up…..

I’d rather opt for a couple more night’s sleep in my bed before the upcoming/multiple weeks on the couch…..

…..the couch in the den turns into “Puppy Central”…..

Mom’s stay in the den because we’re able to keep the other hounds confined to the rest of the house…..

…..separated from the new puppies…..

…..(just in case the “new moms” aren’t too friendly)…..

…..(but we’ve never run into an overly protective Wolfhound mother)…..

…..(that was NEVER the case with the rabidly protective Airedale Terrier mom’s I remember as a child)…..

So now…..we wait…..
