What A Difference A Preposition Makes…….

Let me start out by saying…….I love the Oxford comma.
But I also like messing with language.
Punctuation can be a bully.
Don’t get me started…
*****Funnilicious Mistakes*****
Words and punctuation should be made to entertain…
They are the bestest fun to play…with…….
I love using & abusing them.
I have an on-going/personal feud with apostrophes & plural possessive words ending with “s”…
*****Weird Al Yankovic’s “Word Crimes”*****
I would like to know who is the person who automatically keeps underlining my “bad spellings” in red…….(?)
…….maybe I want them to be missspelled!?! Don’t tell me how to write!!

Well, duck!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
…….So, I ignore them.
Me & Mrs. Malaprop have a lot in common.
*****Mrs. Malaprop Explained*****
A word that sounds close (or better yet rhymes) is good enough for me…
A variety of words & phrases are even betterer and funner.
The spoken word.
The whispered word.
The shouted word.
The hissed word.
The signed word.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But I’ve decided that it all boils down to prepositions (& sometimes adverbs).
They make the world go ’round…….they’re the bomb.

Hey Paolo!…………………what’s that book you like?………………….put it in the “Comments” Section (it’s the goodest book).
When I was in high school, I had to memorize a list of verbs that did not require an “ly” ending on their accompanying adverb…………..(and why is there an “an” before “ly” and not an “a”???—–I do not no?)-(grammar is the laxative for my mind).
Now let’s see if I can remember that list…….(it was rote-stuff that was pounded into my head)…….here goes…
*****be; become; seem; grow; look; appear; feel; smell; taste; remain; sound; stay……………I think that’s it*****
(Disclaimer***Lola you’re going to hate this post…….all it is is a series of digressions***)
Prepositions and adverbs have the last say…
Adjectives are always nice……
But you can get in a world of hurt…….if you use an adverb inappropriate…….(she says meaningfully & sincerely)…

*******Late edition addition——-I also just adore (or is it abhor) parenthetical expressions*******
