Upon Reflection

I just re-read my last two posts.
I try to do that for editing and changing hard to read sentences.

My last few posts sure do make country life and country chores look hard…..and dangerous…..and arduous…..(isn’t that the same as hard?).
Or…..maybe it’s just me.

I have tendencies to get in trouble with power tools……………..just ask my older daughter’s opinion of my use of cutting wheels on angle grinders…
Not pretty……………
…….maybe it’s not just me…….

…..because, over the years, I’ve known a lot of “Lefties” and “Stubbies” and farmers with missing fingers or at the very least mangled nail beds……….nothing remotely fixable, even by a good manicurist…
There was a hayman we knew a few years back with a really messed up arm & partially missing hand……………and another hayman with a bunch of garbled fingers…
Oh, oh, oh———-AND my spousal unit, Paolo!!!……………he had the distal joint of his thumb snapped off when “snaking” the septic system…
……….our older daughter was dispatched to collect the severed digit (she stored it in a zip-lock bag) while I tried to stem the bleeding, as we headed for the emergency room…
So there’s that……….

(***My bad: Paolo just corrected me—–it was the distal joint of his little finger*** Oops…)
I’m sensing a trend here……….
And let’s not forget David, our feed guy……….another arm casualty…

Geez, now come to I think of it, my Great Uncle’s son (I’m not sure what relationship he would have been to me) fell into a feed silo that was filled with grain and died…
Maybe I should re-think things and hire a landscaping company to do our mowing…..(?)

……….but I’m quite sure they would just run screaming into the swamp when they saw what needed doing here…
Or maybe I just need to be more careful…
…………that’s a hard one……………it doesn’t appear to be in my play-book…
We’ll, I am almost sixty-five…
I’m not quite sure what that means…..(?)
It either means that I’ll keep doing what I’ve been doing and try being more cautious/lucky……….
……….or that I’m old enough to know better………
……….or maybe that I have had a good long run and this is just the inevitable…
Hmmmmmmmmm…
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I do think I cracked my skull (as hard as it is) with that stupid/t-post driver-thing…
Oh and BTW……………..I make it a policy to NEVER do ANY electrical wiring…
……….my past speaks for itself…
