Tropical Cyclone “Nestor”
Well “Nestor” blew through…
~~(why was Nestor categorized as a Cyclone and not a Tropical Storm…….I do not know)~~
We were on the right-hand side of this storm…

So we didn’t get the brunt of the winds…….but we did get the rains…
He dumped a lot of rain…

Honestly, with everything that has been going on here with the Irish Wolfhound puppies and the accompanying late night sleep deprivation…………I almost completely missed this one…
*****Hello—My Name is Nestor*****
…..that is until the path was aiming straight towards our coast of Florida…….
…..oh, dear…..
Fortunately Mother Nature was quick with Nestor’s march across the Gulf of Mexico…….
…..he really booked it from west to east and up and over Florida’s panhandle…

But with that whole, spinning, counter-clockwise, hurricane-thing…….being on the right side of Nestor meant that he scooped up and delivered a great deal of water on us…

We have had a few weeks of dryness prior to Nestor’s surprise attack…….so the rapid dumping of so much rain was really okay-ish…
…..but the tornados…….

…..and our leaking chimney…..
…..we’ve had a cracked chimney cap for a long time…..

…..I suppose we should fix it…..
…..We really need to fix it…..
…..Someone should fix it…..
…..I’ll get right on it…..
………….but in the meantime I put a bowl in the fireplace (when I remember) to collect the heavy rain water that washes down our sooty chimney…..no biggie…
………….but I forgot last night………….
…..so there’s a sooty puddle of chimney-rain-water to deal with…..
…..oh well…..

I’m too tired to care…..
But we still have six, thriving, pooping, pee’ing puppies…….
…..and Nestor is heading out to sea in the Atlantic by now…….
…..and I’m still punch-drunk and sleep deprived…….

…………………yippee…………………
