We are looking down the barrel of the steaming sizzling hot glowing heat of this coming Summer months…..

…..oh goodie…..

Since living in Florida (from the early 1970’s) I’ve learned to dread its Summers…..

They’re tough…..

Even though the summer coincides with the rainy season…it’s still super Hot…and the rains just add to the steam…..

…..(I’ve always wondered why we don’t call the rainy season here…a monsoon season?)…..

…..the steaming roads…the steaming condensation on the windows…the steaming pastures…the steaming armpits…the steaming sidewalks…..

Everything feels like you’re sitting inside the top pot of a double boiler…maybe it’s good for the occasional steamed facial treatment…but not for an ongoing lifestyle…..

…..(see…I’m starting to dust off my aforementioned talents at whining)…..

I will whine and complain right through June…July…and August…..

I always prematurely think that September will surprise me with an early mediocre cool front…but it predictably does Not…..

But one can hope…..

And then…in just a few days…the 2026 Hurrcaine Season will begin on June the First…..

I haven’t found the official list of names for this coming season’s storms…but I will share them when I get them…..

Now here’s a twist to the meteorology for this coming Summer………….we are expected to have a “Super El Niño”…..

…..and I don’t really know what that means…..

But I do read human body language (after becoming fairly fluent with animal body language)…..

And watching our regional Meteorologists explain the likelihood of the “Super El Niño” coming our way…..

…..well…they seem pretty happy…..

…..(well…they’re happy for our stomping grounds …but not so much for the Pacific region)…..

However…all it takes is one well-aimed storm…in our general direction…and…well…..

So…One Step in Front of Another…..

Doesn’t that sound familiar?…..

I’ll try not to get too prematurely hysterical…or whiny…..

But don’t hold your breath…..
