The Multiple Lives Of Otto The Barn Cat
**********Please Subscribe To My Blog…..It Really Helps**********

You’ve met our barn cat…Otto…..
I really don’t think he visits the barn much…he’s more of a…garage kitty…..

I don’t think he’s even much of a ratter…..
He’s more of a food crunching muncher…maybe the occasional squirrel catcher…(but he can also easily co-exist with the squirrels…even when they’re right next to him in the garage…while they’re stealing horse feed)…..

And unfortunately…Otto has been the likely suspect…when our hens have hatched out baby chicks…and they seem to decrease in number…one by one…day by day…..

…..(the silly hens don’t seem to notice…but I do)…..
I’ve taken to scooping up the newly hatched babies…to keep them safe…in an Otto-proof cage…(until they are bigger…and a larger Otto-proof size)…..

Now…we think Otto has probably been living double (maybe even triple or quadruple) lives at other people’s houses down the street…..
…..because he has turned into a very very fat cat…probably one of the heaviest cats I’ve ever hefted…..

We’ve seen him marching up and down the road in both directions at predictable times every day…..
He probably hits multiple neighbor’s houses…for their added snackles and munchies that they leave out for him…..

Maybe these alternate “owners” even consider Otto their outdoor cat(?)…..
He’s such a confident kitty…and he disappears for hours on end…only to reappear here each evening…so he can safely sleep on the saddle blankets (with his cat food) in our garage…..

…..(you know…we can’t leave him outside at night…because there are so many coyotes in the woods & swamps around us)…..
But every morning…Otto rises with the sun…and begs to go back outside…so he can keep up with his strict schedule of treats & snacks at other people’s houses…..

My daughters and I were joking about Otto’s different names…with his different families…..
He’s probably called Tuffy…or Pedro…or Smokey…..

…..he’s a kitty-kat-um’s of many aliases…..

…..or maybe he’s Chucky…or Pancho…or Mittens…or maybe even Old Joe…..
By whatever name…Otto is a well-fed feline…who takes his job (whatever it is) very seriously…..

…..we all have something to learn from Otto…..
