~~~The Girls~~~
We’re getting there…
The girls are slowly putting on weight……………….but where horses are concerned~~~slow is good……………….where I’m concerned~~~I can put on weight at super-sonic speed~~~eazy-peezy……………..and also, not so good.
I’ve had to hang a horse crop out by the wagon (where I feed the ladies), so that I don’t get mowed over in their zealousness getting to their feed pans.
Chantilly and Claire have had a history of scant and/or scarce meals of questionable quality…………………so, I can understand them trying to knock the feed buckets out of my arms in their excitement to get another meal………………..(but, it is still absolutely not acceptable table manners———we will work on that).
BUT—–Addy has no excuse. She’s been well fed all her life…………….she’s just a slavering “Baby Huey”.
We’ll work on that too.
I love Clydes, they are such unintentional goof-balls.
I think I’ve mentioned this before, but Clydesdales always remind me of the dancing hippos wearing tu-tu’s in the old Disney movie, “Fantasia”.
I love that movie…
Chantilly has actually reached a good/healthy maintenance weight.
I might have to consider putting Poppy’s (unsuccessful) grazing muzzle on Chantilly………………….occasionally…
Claire still needs unlimited access to her meals.
The grazing muzzle won’t be popular with Chantilly…………….but we can’t have her waistline going the way of the Pop-ster………………..
You know, this is a wonderful dilemma……….
…….now having previously skinny, malnourished mares who we have to employ strategies so they don’t get too fat and pudgy………….
……………it’s a very good predicament to be in…
I approve of the grazing muzzle……………………Chantilly, however, may not…
