We did a series of progesterone tests…and several X-ray views….. …..and yes…there was no doubt…Sabine was definitely pregnant….. So this last Saturday…we had a planned cesarean section delivery…and the puppies are Big….. There are five (5) boys and three (3) girls at the present time….. We will work hard at keeping everyone hale and hearty…but with Mother Nature…you just never know….. This is a short post…because…honestly…I’m exhausted….. Sabine is doing…

He came with his name already picked by the breeder…(that’s a first for us)….. …..they listed his name on his AKC papers as “Acacias”….. …..the Acacia is a tree…the litter owners said…it’s a strong tree….. We had other plans for his name…but…oh well…you roll with the punches…Acacias it is then….. …..(fyi…we let owners of our puppies pick their own…

Irish Wolfhounds (at best) have a limited gene-pool….. I’m sure I’ve said this before…but in and around the 1800’s…they almost became extinct as a breed….. Enter Captain Graham and Faust…(I do love that name)….. *****(Saving The Irish Wolfhound)***** He worked hard…but he saved the breed….. …..even today…the Irish Wolfhound does not have a vast…
