Surprise~~The Fencing Projects Continue

I’d like to write about something other than fencing projects…I really would…..

There’s a lot of repetition and upkeep on a farm…..

But I’d rather write about stringing barbed wire than actually having to string the stuff…..

There’s got to be something that I’m doing wrong…it shouldn’t be so painful…..

There are so many pastures that I’ve seen along roadsides with tightly strung barbed wire fencing…there has got to be something I’m doing wrong…..

I just keep getting hung up…and skewered…and stuck…and bleeding…and cursing…and tripped…and totally wrapped in the pokey sharp stuff…..

…..and then when it’s all over…I end up with a lax loopy finished project…..

I hate barbed wire…..

Why can’t cows be kept inside a pasture with electric fencing?…I’m really good at putting up electric fencing…..

Plus…I don’t bleed as much…..

So I’ve taken to YouTube…to see what I’m doing wrong…and what suggestions they might have…..

*****(Simple Fencing Fix~~Well Illustrated)*****…(but where are this guy’s work gloves?)…(and don’t you think his hoodie is too clean?)…..

I’ve got most all the necessary tools so far…but this Texas thingie looks like it could be helpful…..

And I really have to find leather gloves that are up and over my elbows…(maybe up to my chin)…..

I’m trying to figure out how to (easily) drag the barbed wire spool around the swamp…that’s going to be a challenge…..

I still have that left over mystery spool…..

Remember the one I was trying to use up…by turning it into barbed wire Christmas wreaths?…..

It was a project I never completed…because it just hurt too much…..

I suppose I’ll even need to buy more…..

…..(sigh)…..

…..but I still do want cows…..

And so…with the help of YouTube…and some stubborn determination…and a number of pressure bandages…..

I’ll get on with the next fencing project…and just get it done…..
