I know…I know…

We’re only just into October…..

…..(I’ll be honest…we actually started in August)…..

My older daughter is a careful purchaser…I am far more of an impromptu accumulator…..

…..but when it comes to Halloween decorations and stuff…..

…..my daughter looses it…..

The end result is…we have some of the coolest Halloween paraphernalia…and a lot of it becomes year-round home decorations…..

…..we go for a bit more of the macabre than most people…..

…..we’re not really the pastel & plushy sort…..

…..maybe Goth…maybe SteamPunk…maybe just weird…..

…..there are always cobwebs hanging from everything…it’s a given here…..

…..and black always makes everything look good…(or maybe it just covers things better)…..

My daughter scored some really/really cool things this year…..

First…a cast-iron skeletal-dude…..

…..he’ll probably stay out all year…we’ll just replace the eyeballs with Christmas ornaments and later cinnamon hearts for Valentines Day…..

Next…she got a really neat cast-iron bat-bowl…..

…..it both picturesque and statuesque…..

I don’t even remember when we got our Zombie Gnome…but…he’s been on top of our fridge year-round for a long time…..

My daughter researched when the near-by stores get deliveries throughout the Halloween Season…some are daily…..

…..she has her route mapped out…..

Everyone has their “thing”…my daughter’s is Halloween…mine’s Moon Pies and mediocre bourbon and draft horses…..

Well…at least we’re not collecting expensive designer/Italian shoes…..

My younger daughter even found a cool/hammer-metal bowl with snake handles…..

…..this stuff never gets old…..

Our local DollarTree (now Dollar/&/A-QuarterTree) always goes all out for Halloween…..

…..next stop is the local Winn-Dixie for our Jack-O-Lantern pumpkins….
