*****Piggy Follow-Up…….Hoo-Boy*****

As you already know…..
One of our sows went to the butchers…..
And came back in white/labeled packages…..

Like anything on this farm (or in life)…..(or physics)…..any action produced creates an equal and opposite reaction…..
…..oops…..
…..well…..poop…..
You see…..now all of the pigs have seen and figured out that if other pigs can be released from their flimsy/mud-submerged/non-roofed/horrible pens…..

……………..then why can’t they make a break for freedom……………..
And that’s just what’s been happening…..

First there were only two little piggies wandering around outside their sty…..
…..then there was one more…..

…..then one more…..

…..now…..there’s a BIG MAMA piggy out of her pen with the other little piggies…..

(I mean…..really how hard was it for a 200 lbs pig to smash through submerged/twine-secured fencing?)
(I’m hoping that the back pasture fencing and the backyard gate hold)

(there’s a lot of poundage of loose/unhindered/uncaged hogs out there)

…..if the bad neighbor only knew of the potential disaster to their pristine landscaping that is currently rooting around back there in the swamp…..

………………………oh dear………………………
…..we already know this won’t end well…..don’t we…..(?)…..
…..okay…..I want a show of hands…..
#1—–Who thinks this will have a happy ending…..?

#2—–Who thinks this entire situation will crash and burn in an as yet undisclosed but hideous fashion…..?

…..or…..maybe……
#3—–an asteroid will hit an orbiting satellite…..and all the debris will smash through the atmosphere…..into the Earth…..and end life…..as we know it……

…..and only cockroaches and Jack Russells will survive and rule the world?…..
I worry about these things…..

…..someone needs too…..

Oh!…..Oh!….Oh!…..here’s yet another porcine-event that just occurred…..
…..scary for both me and for our big boar…..
In his recent attempts to get free…..
…..he somehow hooked one of his tusks under the heavy-gauged metal panel wire and got hung up…..

He was stuck…..
He had tried to wrench free…..
He had bent the panel…..but the welds held (and so did his tusk)…..
…..so as per the norm…..

…..the responsibility of freeing the tusk of the VERY DISGRUNTLED boar rested with me…..
…..because…..here I reside…..
…..at the bottom of “that” hill…..(you know the one with the poo rolling down it?)

Yep…..that hill…..
…..and I found myself knee-deep in “it” again…..

Armed with a big bolt cutter…..

…..and some “duck & weave” timing…..

…..I was able to cut the thick wire where Mr. Pig’s tusk was caught…..
(I would have taken more pictures…..but honestly…..I was more worried about having multiple fingers snapped off)

(Photography was not forefront on my mind)
He’s a little bloody…..but otherwise…..he’s okay…..
And what’s REALLY important…..

…..he’s still in his cage…..tusks and all…..
*****Sooooo—–Eyes to the sky…..I’m sure there’s an astroid heading this way*****
