Horses need to be wormed regularly…..

We all have parasites………….it’s true…we do…..

The trick is to keep the internal balance………….well………….balanced…..

…..it’s all about homeostasis…..

A Panacur PowerPac is good stuff…..

It comes in a box…it’s a Five-Day worming routine…using dosages of Fenbendazole meant to kill a series of internal worms at various stages of their development in a horse’s gut…..

If you don’t have better things to do…it’s fun kicking apart the resulting manure (with your new (used) Slogger Garden clogs)…just to see what’s dead and passed through your horse’s other end…..

It can be quite illuminating…..

…..and entertaining…..

…..(like I’ve said before…I don’t get out much)…..

And again…sunny sub-tropical Florida is a perfect petri dish for parasites and worm development…..

I lost respect for my old Internist…when I asked if we (as humans) should worm ourselves routinely…like our farm livestock…..

And she said…humans don’t get worms…(?)…what…(!?!)…No(!)…that can’t be true(!?!)…..

Most of my veterinarian friends all believe in “Vitamin I”…(i.e. Ivermectin…another great anti-parasitic)…..

Plus the Panacur PowerPac is yummy good too…because it’s artificially apple-cinnamon flavored…..

…..it says so…right on the label…..

And here’s what else is on the label…..

…..and like I said…it’s yummy good too…..

The paste syringes are fairly big…so I’ve found it easier to hand mix it into Brave’s feed and have him eat it…..

…..that way…I know it’s all gone down his gullet…all five day’s worth…..
