So…I’ve started looking for a new Clydesdale or Shire mare…..

…..my heart’s not in it…..

…..I miss Addy…..

I’ve gotten her bloodwork back…..

It was the blood that Stevie Wonder (our Large Animal Vet) pulled right before we put Addy down…..

I haven’t gone over it with him yet………….there’s obviously no rush…..

What I have done…is call and set up an appointment with a surveillance camera company that we’ve researched…..

…..they are going to come out and go over our dyfunct system…and see what needs repairing…replacing…and/or adding to…..

There are just too many horses who have died here…..

I understand deaths that result from…disease…natural causes…age…or acts of God…..

…..but I intend to catch it all on tape…from here on in…..

…..(what I do with what’s caught on tape…I don’t know…time will tell)…..

So in the meantime…..

…..we’re having our surveillance camera system re-vamped…..

What can I say…we were taken advantage of by the last individuals who installed our system…..

…..(I don’t know how else to put it)…(we got screwed)…..

But…I think with our past experiences…we’ve gathered enough technologically-savvy info of our own…so we shouldn’t be as vulnerable and unsuspecting this time…..

And that’s where we’re at currently……

I still intend to go over Addy’s last bloodwork with Stevie Wonder to see if we can glean any additional information as to why she died so suddenly…..

I’ll get the surveillance system repaired and running again…..

…..then…maybe…I’ll start looking for another horse to ride…..

Maybe then…I’ll be recovered enough to be strong enough…with enough oxygen…to actually groom & tack a horse and be able to step into the saddle again…..

And NOT be a liability on horseback…..

I’ll keep my eye’s open for the perfect mare.  I need to have a registered Clydesdale or Shire…so that Brave’s Drum Horse Registry will acknowledge any resulting foal as registrable with the IDHA…..

Our Brave has the unique quality of not being a Drum Horse by “type”…..

…..Brave’s father (Galway Warrior) was ACTUALLY the Queen’s Drum Horse…..

…..but we seem to be having the problem of keeping one of his babies as a live foal…..

…..we’ve lost three…(and only one of those deaths made any logical sense)…..

Hence the surveillance cameras…..

Paranoid much?…..

…..you bet’cha!…..

Well…that’s my game plan anyway…..

I don’t believe in coincidences…..
