~Lemonade~

I’ve found that life is more like a bag of lemons than a box of chocolates…..

…..besides if it were a box of chocolates…I’d be poking holes in the bottom to see what’s inside…..

…..(I got in trouble as a child for doing that)…..

…..(it seemed like a valid/prudent choice to me)…..

But that bag of lemons…..

…..it seems far more applicable in life than boxed chocolates…..

I’m a big proponent of counting my blessings…..

Trying not to take things for granted…looking for the good things…and tallying them…..

…..(plus…there are a lot of good things that can be done with lemons)…..

Hence…back to making lemonade out of that bag of fruit…..

I was just about to start complaining about this summer’s heat—it’s been brutal…..

But then…I remembered that last summer…at this time…..

…..our A/C wasn’t working at all…for about three weeks…..

…..it was probably less time than that…..

…..but in my mind…I remember it being years & years without any reprieve from Florida’s deep summer heat…..

…..No air conditioning…nothing at all…..

…..just a couple of ineffective and inefficient fans spitting out unenthusiastic thermal air…..

It was crushing…..

Sooooo…I’m not going to complain about the heat this summer…..

However…I do need to vacuum my ceiling fans…..

…..recently a dust-snowball was lobbed into my iced lemonade…and another one hit my forehead…..

Hmmmmm…..

…..time for some necessary housework…I guess…..

…..(she says reluctantly)…..

I think the last time I vacuumed those fans…was a year ago(?)…(so I guess it’s time)…..

…..(maybe)…..

Apparently we have very dirty air?…even though the air filters get changed every two weeks…(they really do)…..

But let’s concentrate on the good stuff—our A/C is cool once again…..

Yippee…..
