It’s Truly Winter

It’s Truly Winter

Well…I won’t complain…..

I’ve seen the weather maps for the States up North…..

You guys are getting hammered…..

When I recently spoke with my Aunt Cory in northeastern Ohio (just a few miles from the Lake)…she keeps me updated on the snow storms…..

She just looks out her kitchen window and estimates how much snow is stacked on her picnic table…..

…..(and there’s a lot)…..

A few weeks ago…she lost her mailbox to a D.O.T. snowplow…it got smashed and disappeared into a deep icy snowdrift…..

I asked her what she was going to do…until someone could excavate her mailbox?

I naively asked how she was going to get her mail?  Did she need to duct tape a plastic bag to a flag on top of the pile of snow?…..

I’ve lived in the South too long…I’ve thoroughly lost my snow survival skills…..

Aunt Cory has three large Boxers…so…I had to ask…..

…(not Aunt Cory’s Boxer)…

…..what do they do when they have to pee and poop?…in the deep snow?…..

Without missing a beat…Aunt Corey said they run in circles…pack down the snow…then do their business as fast as possible…..

…..(I was thinking…it must freeze!?!)…(It could make a really good projectile!?!)…(and why was that last one even a thought?)…(and finally…the accumulations must really be a mess when “everything” thaws in the Spring)…..

…..but…I digress…..

…(not Trinity)…

My cousin has a little dog named Trinity………….she must disappear under the snow!…..

Geez…it boggles the mind………….See I’ve become a true pseudo-Southerner…..

PLUS…None Of My Relatives Up North Have Fireplaces!?!?!…..

I just couldn’t live up North without a fireplace…..

DaVinci

I just couldn’t…..

I NEED my fires for that nano-second of Winter chill that we get down here…..

Hey!  I’m on blood thinners…I get cold easily!…..

Currently I’m happily burning up yard debris and Milton-wood on a regular basis…..

I couldn’t do Snow & Winter without a fireplace…..

To that effect………….I scoped out a tiny chainsaw that our Huntsman’s husband was using to help clear the Hunt site where we went to pick up Pepper…..

…..I immediately fell in love with that tiny chainsaw…..

It’s perfect for all those limbs that are in the backyard…..

The ones that are too big for a limb lopper…but too small to haul out the big 2-cycle chainsaw…..

AND…it passed my friend’s seal of approval…AND…it wasn’t too expensive…..

…..(you see…I don’t do designer clothes or shoes…I do power tools)…..

AND…I’m tired of cutting & bruising my hands…trying to break these Milton-limbs…..

…..(I can’t wait for my tiny chainsaw to arrive)…..
