Well…it’s not exactly time yet for the actual riding and the actual Fox Hunting to start…..

…..but the organizing of this coming season’s paperwork…and membership…and scheduling fixtures…and the general business…..

…..that’s begun…..

…..Yippee!…..

Our business meeting is just around the corner…and I’ll get to meet-up with friends again…..

I’m taking a positive approach to this up-coming Fox Hunting season…..

…..I Will be involved & I Will be riding again…..

…..(you get nuthin’ if you don’t take a positive approach to the world)…..

So…First & Foremost…I need a mount…..

I’m looking!…I’m looking!…..

…..(Dammit Addy…I’m finally healthy enough again to possibly ride…and you went and died)…..

I’ll need to be able to stay in the saddle…(I’ve heard that’s a minimum requirement)…..

…..(it hasn’t stopped me before)…..

I’ve never been a pretty rider…(this is common knowledge)…..

I occasionally keep my heels down (except when I don’t)…I can usually (unceremoniously) keep my ass in the saddle (except when I don’t)…..

I can only just use two reins with a bridle…because four reins would be absolutely impossible…..

…..seeing Mary Constance fly past with four reins well in hand…along with her Hunt whip…while her galloping horse is completely under control…..

…..(that is just so far out of my league)…..

Nope…I know my limitations…I’d end up hanging myself and my very confused horse with the reins and whip…along with anyone else who passed by too closely…..

I’ll stay (as quietly as possible) in the back…and try to behave…..

…..along with my assortment of flasks…happily clinking away in my many pockets and saddlebags…..

Yep…that’s my idea of a good time…..

…..hope it works out this year…..

Suzanne-Annette has said she has a horse I can borrow…I might just take her up on that…..
