Well, damn…….

…..our skinny blacksmith (Montana)…..you know the one who’s belt buckle is big enough to tip him over?

…..he came out the other day…….

…..and he worked on Addy…….

…..she’s huge…..she’s heavy…..but otherwise, she’s not a challenge when trimming her hooves…

…..she’s just a massive project…

Montana also did Claire’s front hooves…….

I always suck in and hold my breath for that project.

…..Montana ran out of steam…..he said he’d come back next week to do Claire’s hind hooves…..

…..he only had enough heave-ho to trim up and rasp her front two…..(as well as hefting Addy’s tree trunk legs)

Claire was dutifully sedated with Dormosedan…..she’s a handful…..(Dormosedan’s the sub-lingual drug that makes her more complacent and less likely to want to kick the poor dude to the moon)…

We like Dormosedan.  We like the effect it has mellowing-out Claire’s nasties…

This crazy world in which we live might consider sedating itself with Dormosedan…

Doctor Stevie Wonder told me not to try it myself…

But…….here’s a wonderful news flash…….

My skinny blacksmith, Montana, deemed Claire’s front hooves normal !!!!!!!(?)(?)(?)!!!!!!!!!!

What great news!

But…..when he comes back to finish her back hooves…..I don’t think that will be the case…

…..they look really gnarly…

…..and split…

…..and deformed…

…………………but one can hope…………………

…..Here’s something…..

…..Claire doesn’t lay down through the day as much anymore…….

…..in fact, I haven’t seen her laying down AT ALL recently…….

…..that’s got to mean that her feet aren’t hurting her as much…….

…..well…..at least she is 50% better…….

…..I’ll happily take that for now…….
