Holiday Recovery

**********Please Subscribe To My Blog…..It Really Helps**********

The recent holidays were both a sprint and a marathon…..

I took breaks when and where I could…but…in the heat of the Holidays…you have to keep up the pace…..

Boxing Day…was an opportunity to catch my breath after Christmas Eve and Christmas Day…..

…..but then there’s the home stretch…which will culminate on New Year’s Day…..

…..and of course…afterwards…I’ll have to try to remember to write the correct new year on every subsequent document…..

And now…I’m adding a head cold on top of everything…..

I don’t want to be sick…I don’t want an upset stomach…I just want to sleep…I want a nap…..

…..(the whining is just an added perk)…..

All I can say is………….Thank God for leftovers…..

…..because I know I’ll have something to eat…’cuz I ain’t cooking anything else…..

I’m looking forward to the New Years…and a subsequent bland diet…..

Don’t get me wrong…the Holidays were great…I’m just tired…and apparently I’m sick too…..

I want to play with the new toys…I should be doing some of the dirty dishes…..

…..I want to cuddle with Archimedes…and sleep…he’s got the right idea…..

Let’s face it…I’m seventy years old…and somewhere along the line…I’ve become a cat lady…..

Hey…but with the help of my daughters…we pulled off a big beef brisket for Christmas Eve…..

And a prime rib roast for Christmas Day…along with lots and lots of cookies…..

Oh…and the traditional rum balls…..(?)

They had to become bourbon balls…somehow or another I didn’t have any rum (how sad…and how unlike me)…..

But Jim Beam came to the rescue…and this year’s bourbon balls…traditionally brought tears to your eyes…..

So………….my work here is done…thanks to the assistance of my friend Jim…..

But now…I need to recover…and this old cat lady needs a nap with her other buddy…Archimedes…..

…Sam and Archimedes…

And………….it’s time to start practicing writing~~~2025~~~

…..(it will become rote for me somewhere around June)…..

Happy New Year…..
