Maybe you haven’t heard…..

…..but there’s going to be a total eclipse of the Sun today across the U.S.A…..

Maybe it might have slipped by unnoticed…..

But I’m here to let you know…..

It was a surprise in the book and movie—“The Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur’s Court”—but it’s happened in a lot of books and movies.

Here in sunny Sub-Tropical Florida…we’re not in the path…..

…..It’ll be north of us…..

…..actually it will go right over where I was born in Ohio…..

I’ll watch it on the news…or check out the photos later…I intend to carry on as usual…..

But there have been some extra oddities…that I just can’t ignore…..

…..the earthquake in New Jersey and New York state…..

I’m sure there are a lot of Building Inspectors in N.Y.C. who are very busy right now…..

I suppose I’m a little more than an eensie-beansie superstitious…..

…..(I’m a lot superstitious)…..

I’ve been reading all of the predictions…omens…portents…Biblical prophecies…and signs…..

Cern???…Really!!!???!!!…..

Did you have to start up again…Right At This Time…Really!?!…..

And NASA?…Really!?!…..

It’s hard enough to wrap your head around the alpha and the omega of all this…..

I have to admit…I’ll breath a sigh of relief after the eclipse passes over…..

Hey…I remember the Harmonic Convergence…and the end of the Mayan Calendar…and the Dawning of the Age of Aquarius…(they should make that a song…it’s catchy)…..

Will I be huddled in a dark corner of my kitchen(?)…wearing a self-crinkled aluminum hat(?)…..

Naw…..

…..that’s just silly…..

…..but then again…it really wouldn’t hurt…now…would it(?)…just to be on the safe side…..

No one needs to know……

I’ll be huddled with my tin foil hat…and my cats…and a supply of MoonPies…and my old friend Jim…..

…..it’ll all be okay…..

…..I’m sure…..
