I heard recently that where Time Square in New York City has it’s Giant/Sparkly Waterford Crystal Ball (which drops (carefully) at midnight)…..

…..Key West, Florida has a giant Conch Shell that does the same thing…but it drops onto a local bar’s roof…..

…..and Sarasota, Florida drops a Pineapple (somewhere)…..

Chagrin Falls, Ohio (near my hometown of Kirtland)…drops a Popcorn Ball…..

…..(FYI—Euclid Beach Amusement Park on Lake Erie was SO well-known for their popcorn balls)…(my Aunt Cory still sends us some from time to time)…..

…..apparently…a stuffed opossum named “Spencer” is lowered in Tallapoosa, Georgia…..

…..and a pirate gets dropped(?) in Beaufort, North Carolina…(poor guy)…..

…..Tucson, Arizona drops a gigantic Taco…..

…..and in Blain, Pennsylvania…a wooden cow gets dropped from a silo…(I like that one)…..

…..and of course…Hershey, Pennsylvania raises a gigantic Chocolate Kiss…..

Our local Winn Dixie has brisket on sale…(guess what we’re having for dinner?)…..
