It’s here…..

We made it…..

…..now what are we going to do with it?…..

…..and there in lies the rub…..

My philosophy is…it’s never inappropriate for a little mis-quoted Shakespeare…..

…..especially on New Year’s Day…..

We didn’t need to personally usher in the New Years last night…..

…..my family and I firmly felt that 2024 could manage it all by itself…..

But we did employ our annual festivities of fun finger-foods and little cheesecakes…while watching TimeSquare…with our mouths full…..

It’s cold enough here in the sunny sub-tropics…you ain’t getting me in a windy frigid canyon of skyscrapers in N.Y.C…after dark(!)…..

No…not my idea of a fun time…..

Today…I Do intend to again subject my daughters to that irritating drone-view jigsaw puzzle of our mono-chromatic swamp that we lovingly call home…..

…..(I didn’t make much headway with my family on Christmas Day)…..

I swear the next jigsaw puzzle I’m going to get will be a Precious-Moments basket of kittens…or an easy Norman Rockwell cottage…..

…..no more M.C. Escher stuff or monochromatic anything…Monet’s pushing it…(get some clear-cut boundries, Man!)…..

Or maybe…no more jigsaw puzzles at all…just a fun card game of Go-Fish…..

…..that’s a good family-bonding activity…..

I never thought I’d say this…but I’m looking forward to regular/bland food…..

…..geez…I’m sounding like an old person…..

…..”All I’m hankering for is a little broth…maybe a nice cup of tea…I’ll be no bother”…..

…..Ha!…..

…..That’ll Never Fly!…..

Nope that’s not me…..

I’ll toast in the New Year with my mediocre bourbon and coke…I’ll finish this stupid puzzle…..

…..and I’ll need to get a new Jenga game because the cats batted too many pieces off the kitchen table and the Wolfhounds ate them…..

…..!!!!!And 2024 Begins!!!!!…..
