Sometimes it’s the small things that we take for granted…….

…..things that can soon become VERY Big/Ugly things when they are omitted or over-looked……

*******Case In Point:  One morning Paolo innocently left for work and neglected to unload the stash of local/re-purposed newspapers from the back seat of his car…….

…..sounds innocent enough…..doesn’t it?

*******Just Watch As This Minor Event Quickly Escalates And Steam-Rolls Down A Mountainside Of Puppy-Evacuant While Gaining Speed And Strewing Debris & Heartache In Its Wake*******

…..(okay that last bullet-point may have been a little bit overly-dramatic)

…..but I’ve NEVER been accused of being overly-dramatic…..never once…..not ever)

So…I was left with a couple of paltry sales-paper-inserts and three Section B’s from the freebie paper…

………………………and SIXTEEN (16), KENNELED, WELL-HYDRATED, ADEQUATELY-FIBER’ED, PEE’ING, POOP’ING, PRECIOUS PUPPIES………………………

(all of them packing a morning of full bladders and well-packed/lined-up bowels)

…..Paolo wasn’t going to be home until the evening…..

…..(and my truck was out of commission)…..

…..you get the idea…….

…..for the want of some dry newsprint…….

I do a lot of keening here in the swamp.

I do.

Ultimately, my dear children took notice…..(I can be quite loud)…

…..or maybe it was pity…..

…..or more likely, they just wanted the keening to stop and the excessive fluids to be mopped up with something absorbent…..

*****My older daughter came to the rescue with some past-course/study-points for some sort of chemistry-class-whatnot that she had just finished…..

Phew!……………………!

It wasn’t as absorbent as newsprint…..

…..but ANYTHING was hugely appreciated in order to take the edge off the day’s high-tide of the puppy’s doo-doo-extravaganza…..

…..sigh…..
