Busy Week Ahead/Things To Do/People To See

Things to do…………..things to do…………..things to do…

Tomorrow my younger daughter and I have a lunch appointment with her potential employer.

We’ve been waiting for this potential opportunity for a long time.

St. Augustine, Florida

My daughter completed her horticultural education in St. Augustine, Florida after completing Florida School for the Deaf & the Blind along with First Coast College.

St. Augustine, Florida

That school is phenomenally great………….absolutely!

Lunch tomorrow is with the manager of a local, family-owned plant nursery which specializes in native and local plant varieties (lots of sub-tropical stuff).

It would be a perfect fit for my kid.

I hope she gets it.

This morning began with clean-up on Aisles #8 thru #14.  All from an incontinent, very pregnant Irish Wolfhound, mother-to-be………..(Fey).

Boy Oh Boy———they can vacate volumes when they put their mind to it!

Fey—–Very Pregnant

Fey has a scheduled c-section at the end of the week (my sleep abstinence begins then)………………….(this up-coming litter will be the only one we are planning this year……..phew).

Along with the morning incontinence-shovelable-clean-up, a couple of cats piled on with their own spewed hairballs……………….(gag-reflex maybe from the hound piles & puddles???)

I’m so glad we have tile floors………………..(washable/scrubbable/ & disinfect-able tile floors)———and………….I strongly believe in potpourri and burning incense………………a lot of incense…

On Wednesday the show chickens will be checked in at the Poultry Barn of the Florida State Fair.

One hen for Daughter #1;  One hen for Daughter #2; “In The Buff” hen for Lola;  and “Rooster Rex” for Simone to exhibit.

Their cages will be stacked and wheeled in on a dolly…

And four days later (after being shown & judged), they get picked up and they come back to their home in the swamp…

Tuesday night, Lola is coming over after work to bathe & prep her chicken.

My idea of prepping a chicken is to shake their plucked-version in a paper bag with seasoning and bread crumbs…………………Lola is intending to bathe “In The Buff” in our bath tub (no bath bombs this time), trim her nails, and blow dry her feathers to make her extra fluffy…………………(btw…there have been worse things in our bath tub.)–(I gotta get this whole thing on video.)

It appears that Lola may just be a wee-bit competitive………hmmmmmmm…

……………………………I have nothing further to say……………………………
