~~~Anja Is The Best~~~
My younger daughter and her new horse Anja continue to bond.
It’s great to see their relationship forming.
I feel like Anja will learn to look out for my kid.
She’s a gentle soul.
Anja is still at Suzanne-Annette’s…….she still has one more botulism vaccination before she can come to our farm…
…..but she’ll be coming home this month.
Tra! La!
It’s winter here in sub-tropical Florida…
Suzanne-Annette is a native Floridian…
The temperature has dipped occasionally into the 40’s F…….
…..it hasn’t made it into the 30’s F yet, at all…….
…..but Suzanne-Annette has been at the ready with blankets and hoodies for all of her horses…….
…(Remember when I said that Anja was born in South Dakota and lived in Minnesota?)…
…..both places are quite a bit colder than the sub-tropical area of Florida where we live…
…….(And remember when Suzanne-Annette insisted on blanketing Anja (with all of her wooly-Mammoth-fuzzies) when the thermometer first dipped a little?)…….
…….(And remember when I spoke to Anja’s previous Minnesota owners, who said that she was never blanketed before…..even at 20 F below?)…….
…….Also I’m guessing the fact that she is a NORWEGIAN Fjord horse is an indication that she might be okay with a little bit of cold…….(I personally think that 20 below is a bit much)…
Anja is a really cool, chunky pony…
I think she’ll do just fine in Florida’s two days of Winter…
