When Will This Porcine Madness End!?!…..

It’s Madness…..!!!…..

Madness I Say…..!!!…..

We probably had more pigs than I ever wanted to admit…..

…..(I think about fifteen of them have recently left the property)…..

We first found homes (with one of B.J.’s friends) for the five itty-bitty piglets (from the nasty/feral sow)…..

Then my older daughter and I had to re-construct the pasture and create a chute to get three (of the five hogs) to the first-auction-foray (a couple weeks ago)…..

Then…..

…..we had to de-construct that chute and re-construct another one in the front at the front gate…..running directly to the barn’s breezeway…..

…..we made this second chute much narrower…..to stop the pigglies from changing their minds and running back to the stall…..

…..(we learned that one from unfortunate/past experience with the first chute)…..

THEN…..all that was left was to leisurely trot the remaining piggy-darlings down the chute  &  into B.J.’s waiting trailer…..

…..and Bob’s your Uncle…..

…..(friggin’ Uncle Bob…..he’s absolutely useless)…..

Combine all of this with my older daughter being under-the-weather with a summer bug…..

…..along with her over-stretched collateral knee ligaments…..(from the very first pig-loading-trailer-run last winter)…..

Keep in mind…..all of this is being done in the mid-summer humidity & heat of Florida…..

She  &  I wanted to puke our guts up…..(unfortunately, my poor daughter was the only one who was expulsively successful)…..

We did get the oinkers into the trailer…..more easily this time…..

…..but are we…..?…..
