Well…we did find out more regarding the vandalism to our fencing…..

…..we found a 3rd cut in the backyard fence…..

We haven’t heard yipping from any nearby coyote packs at night…..

Doctor Brigid did say that her guardian llamas in their goat pasture were running and acting oddly…..

…..but thankfully…no continued livestock attacks…..

Maybe a bobcat…but…not a bobcat with a bolt cutters…..

The Black Friday Sale surveillance camera purchases are starting to arrive…..

They are being configured (not by me)…and programmed (not by me)…and/or charged (still not by me)…..

Special SD cards (not to be confused with SIM cards or the Sims electronic game–I did)…had to be purchased and customized and/or encrypted or embossed (or something)…..

…..and then…..

…..Damn!…if that little robot-looking head didn’t come alive…..

It started to spin towards us…and then it started asking questions(?)…..

And they were intelligent questions too…..

…..all the while looking right at us…(even when I ducked)…(which I did)…..

It was both weird…creepy…and not at all securing & comforting (as it was advertised to be)…..

I got no warm/fuzzy/safe feelings from it’s all-seeing monitoring mono-eye…..

After my older daughter unboxed the first one…she started talking to it like it was a choochy-cheeked toddler…..

…..I can’t relate…..

I know…in the near future…everything will be all encompassing Artificial Intelligence…..

…..they’ll eat me first…..

…..if this plastic eye’s got facial recognition…I’m going after it with a baseball bat…..

It’s obvious my daughter’s and my reactions are from totally different generations…and resulting technological acceptances (or lack thereof)…..

More of these little dudes are being shipped and are still en route…..

We’ve made official reports with the Sheriff’s Office…they referred us to the Agricultural Division…..

The Ag Department said they had loose cows to contend with…and the Sheriff’s Office said they had reams of holiday domestic violence cases to deal with…..

…..I don’t doubt that at all…and I understand the prioritizations…..

Sooooooo…I got this…..

But my idea of property surveillance has less to do with bytes and swiveling plastic eyeballs…and more to do with geriatric insomnia and handheld calibers…..

Like I said in my previous post…when you live in the country…for the most part…you learn to take care of your own problems…..
